For the first time ever, we're bringing the State of Black America to TV! National Urban League Presents: State of Black America Town Hall. This event airs Wednesday, May 31 at 8/7c on TV One.
The 2-hour special was taped at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. and features honest, powerful conversations on where our communities stand on education, jobs, criminal justice, health, housing, and many other quality of life indicators.
NewsOne Now host Roland Martin moderates a robust dialogue between top thought leaders, journalists, and public figures: Angela Rye, Toure, Symone Sanders, Jeff Johnson, Angela Sailor, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, and Paris Dennard.
Looking for a way to watch? Want to hear what others have to say? Ready to become an engaged citizen? Pinellas County Urban League Young Professionals will host an interactive watch party on May 31st at 7:30PM. All are welcome to grab a bite to eat and chat with community advocates. Find out what you can do locally to protect our progress.
